Hi DanceMomenators!

A lot of people buy tickets for Dance Moms Meet & Greets, and wonder what to expect. I’m here to tell you what happens!

I went to the Niagara Falls Meet & Greet on October 6th, where I meet Christi, Kelly, Holly, Chloe, Brooke, Paige and Nia. Melissa, Jill, Maddie, Mackenzie and Kendall were at a Meet & Greet in Baltimore that day.

I had originally bought my tickets I think around September 21st, when the Meet & Greet was just supposed to be Christi and Chloe. Then I think on September 30th (or sometime around there) Christi tweeted that the Frazier’s and Hyland’s would also be joining them on the 6th! It was really exciting! I knew that other cast members had made surprise appearances at Meet & Greets, but I didn’t think it would happen that close to the M&G date!

The 6th came quickly and I woke up so excited. I was up at 7:11am (to be exact, lol), left the house around 7:40 and made it to Niagara Falls by about 9:15. We (my dad and I, my mom was busy that day) and my two family friends and their dad all crossed the border together (we’re Canadian and the Meet & Greet was in Niagara Falls, NY). We made it to the Seneca Casino Hotel where the M&G was being held by 10, went to the bathroom and Tim Hortons, and were waiting in line to meet the Dance Moms and girls by 10:30. When we first bought the tickets they asked on the website if we wanted to come to the 10:00 M&G or the 11:30 one. Those times didn’t really mean anything once we got there; there was a huge line mixed with people from both time slots. We were in line right at 10:30, and didn’t get to meet them until about 12:35. During the time we were in line, one of my family friends and I went over to where the merchandise was being sold, and Brittany Pent (Brandon’s sister) was the one selling everything! We both got a picture with her (she was very sweet), as well as purchased a pre-autographed picture of the girls for each of us. You could buy one autographed photo for $15.00 or two for $20.00. However, you don’t even have to buy one at all to get an autograph. As long as you bring something with you that they can sign, they sign it (it’s included in the admission price). Also while we were in line, Chloe went for a bathroom break and waved hello to everyone. Then, as we were just getting ready to enter the M&G room Brooke, Paige, Chloe and Nia came out to go freshen up in the bathroom. All of them waved hi to us, and then came back about 5-7 minutes later. Christi then came out and walked over to where Brittany was. When everyone started screaming and freaking out, Christi said “why are you all yelling? I’m just a regular mom!” and everyone laughed.

We then went inside the room. We got in there by about 12:35, and got to spend roughly 2 minutes with each family. We had to wait in different lines because each of them were at different tables, so we were done the M&G by 12:45. We waited in line 2 hours, and spent 10 minutes with them. It sounds a little bit outrageous, but i’m glad I had the chance to meet them 🙂

Here are some helpful hints for M&G’s:

 1. The price was $40.00/person. This included an autograph, picture with each family, and a charm bracelet from Chloe’s Glitzy Girl Jewelry Line. Unless you bring something for them to autograph, you have to buy something there for them to sign. What i’d recommend is to get a picture of them from Google Images, have it professionally made up, and it’ll look just like what they’re selling you there. This is cheaper and better because you get to pick the picture you want them to sign, rather then have to pick from what they offer.

 2. If you wanted, you could pay $100.00/person and spend one hour with all of them for a Q&A session. While I was very tempted by this offer, I had to turn it down. The night before the M&G I looked up Christi and Chloe Private Party on Youtube and watched exactly what happens. People ask questions and they answer them. That’s it! I’m not trying to be mean, but you can watch the entire thing on Youtube for free rather then pay $100.00. You can also tweet the moms and girls questions you have, and sometimes they do reply. If they don’t, try looking up your questions on Google or asking other Dance Moms fans. Once again a money saver!

 3. Regardless of what time you arrive at the M&G, you’ll be waiting in line. So, even if you choose a time to attend on the Meet & Greet website, it doesn’t really matter. Before you enter they don’t even ask for the ticket. I was surprised! My dad, my 2 family friends and I all had tickets, by my family friend’s dad didn’t. He went around to the exit, and was inside watching us meet the families! So basically be prepared to stand in line, for even up to two hours (we were!). Have your phones and cameras ready because you never know who may walk out for a bathroom break!

**Tip: have someone save your spot in line while you go and look at merchandise. This only works if they’re selling merchandise in a separate room from where the M&G is.

If they’re only selling merchandise inside the M&G room, you’ll have to wait until you get in there.

 4. Make sure that your parents, or whoever will be taking a picture of you with the cast knows how to work your camera! My dad was our photographer, and because I didn’t really teach him how to properly take a picture on my phone some of my pictures came out blurry. They’re also in a rush to get to the next person in line, so have everything ready a couple minutes before you go in.

 5. Have fun! The time goes by really fast, you will only get to see them for a few minutes! Have anything you want to say to them preplanned, make every minute count!
